With nearly a decade of experience in the automotive industry, Max Manes brings a deep-rooted passion for luxury and performance vehicles to the team at Manhattan Motorcars. His career began with classic cars, followed by several successful years in the BMW world, before finding his true home with Porsche. An aficionado of older models, Max’s love for the brand traces back to the iconic 930 Slant Nose Targa, a car that sparked a lifelong appreciation for the engineering, style, and spirit of Porsche. Fittingly, his two beloved pets are named Brembo and Targa. Outside the showroom, Max enjoys unwinding the analog way: kicking a clutch pedal and reconnecting with the road. Max’s favorite Porsche fact: Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche, as part of his early work with Lohner, developed and introduced an electric wheel hub motor in the year 1900. Specifically, this innovation was featured in the Lohner-Porsche electric car, which debuted at the Paris Exposition of 1900. This car is also notable as the world’s first functional hybrid car, the Lohner-Porsche “Semper Vivus”.
